We can saddle stitch books with colored wire. The standard colors are black, white, dark blue, red, and green. Other colors are available but they are expensive and take time to obtain.

Loop Stitches
‘Loop Stitching’ allows a booklet to be saddle stitched and inserted into a loose-leaf binder without drilling. Drilling
often distracts from the graphics and cuts off type copy.

Coloured Stitches
Coloured stitching is a stitch with coloured wire. Some people think it’s cute, some people think it’s silly, some people think it’s useless, some say there’s no application for it. On the other hand, some printers are already using it to stitch through a red solid or black solid etc. One major publisher is using various coloured stitches to identify geographical distribution coupon returns. One printer is using the colour matched wire for an annual financial report.

Childproof Stitches
At first glance booklets with child proof stitches look normal ... but they’re not. Notice how the ‘stitches’ are turned in. If a child rubs their finger down the center spread of a regular stitched book, the stitch would scratch or cut the finger; not so however with our ‘CHILD PROOF STITCHES’! Several areas in the United States have specified that no publishers or printers in the area can supply ordinary stitched books to their school system unless the books have ‘CHILD PROOF STITCHING’.
