Specialties Graphic Finishers Acquires Anstey Bookbinding

Anstey Book Binding Inc. was sold to Specialties Graphic Finishers in July 2010. Jay Mandarino and partners Neil Stewart and Doug Laxdal sold all their shares but Stewart will continue on as president of Anstey. Mandarino said he and Stewart had bought Anstey because its specialized services added value to printing. The bindery had reached a stage, he said, where it needed someone who could take it to the next level of growth. Norm Beange, president and owner of Specialties, was that person. In the graphic arts industry, Beange is known for his energy and enthusiasm, as well as his commitment to pushing the limits in the industry and delivering products on budget and on time. Beange said the deal was attractive to him because Anstey brings specialized services, processes and applications that complement Specialties. With Anstey alongside, Specialties Graphic Finishers now offers printers and graphic designers limitless possibilities for turning their ideas into reality.
